At Tender Tree Montessori our program rooms are designed to be function as your child’s community. They move freely within it, and select work that captures their interest rather than participating in all-day lessons and projects selected by the educators.
Tender Tree utilizes mixed age groups to encourage your child to learn from their peers how to interact with the community, develop friendships, and navigate with the classroom resources. Allowing your child to explore leadership, followership, and collaborative roles.
We refer to our Montessori classrooms as “prepared environments.” This name reflects the care and attention given to creating a learning environment that reinforces the children’s independence, creativity, imagination, and intellectual development. Each center is composed of unique learning material, individualized models, conceptual activities, and nature-based lessons.
The classrooms are carefully prepared to stimulate your child’s intellectual development and independence. Within our program each child is guided through a variety of methods that best suit the needs of each lesson. Your child alternating between hands-on learning and conceptual activities. We combine a mix of group learning and individualized work plans to cater to each child’s needs and encourage your child to set the pace of their development.
