MESSAGE FROM HEAD OF SCHOOL

Welcome to Hillcrest Montessori Elementary School

As parents, one of the most important decisions you will make is where your child’s education will begin. I am happy that you and your child are considering becoming a part of HMES.This school year brings several new beginnings for HMES. As we start our 10th year in Fort McMurray, we are thrilled about the opportunity to join together with parents, stakeholders and our teachers.

Our school environment is like no other. We pride ourselves in upholding a strong tradition of a set of values that promote every child to be a life long learner. Our main objective at HMES is to provide a carefully planned, stimulating environment which will help children to develop within themselves the foundational habits, attitudes, skills and ideas essential for a lifetime of creative thinking and learning. Respect and courtesy in our Montessori school is the foundation for everything we do.

At HMES each student feels empowered and learns how great it feels to be independent. EachHMES teacher and support staff is here to nurture, support and guide students, making the Montessori experience productive, stimulating.
